IT tsar confirmed: Cabinet Office names Angela Smith
The Cabinet Office has named Angela Smith as responsible for government IT and information security.
According to the list of ministerial responsibilities released this week, Smith's will include responsibility for the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer, Information Security and Assurance.

Channel 4 has signed a deal with YouTube to bring its flagship shows to the video-sharing site.
The agreement will see programming from Channel 4's catch up service 4oD made available for free through YouTube.

Tax-refund phishing scams hit an all-time high
The number of scam emails offering fake tax refunds hit an all-time high last month.
According to HM Revenue & Customs, a record 83,000 such phishing attempts were reported in September.
